Screen Printing - Reclaiming a Screen
![]() When you've done all of the printing that you want to do, including any extra items like stickers, mirrors, etc, you have to take your stencil off the screen. This process is known as reclaiming a screen. You'll need to use the power washer to remove the stencil, but be careful. Do not point the power washer anywhere but the sink!
The directions for reclaiming a screen can be found here. Keep cleaning until all of the pores are clear. If you hold it up to the light and see any areas where the pores are clogged, keep cleaning. If both the screen and frame are clean, see me and I'll take the screen off your hands. ![]() In the video I mention turning the water on under the sink. The photo to the right shows the handle that should be turned to the 3:00 position as shown in the photo. The blue knob should be turned 15 or 20 turns counter clockwise (or to the left if you prefer) until it is fully open. They aren't shown in the video so reference this photo instead!
