Screen Printing - Coating a Screen
Once you're screen is degreased and it has been dried thoroughly, it needs to be coated with a light sensitive material called emulision. This is a kind of gel like slime that will go on your screen as a thin coating. It can be really messy to do though! The video below will explain the demonstrate the process. Here's the handout too. |

Once your screen is coated, put it in the drying cabinet and wash your tools down with water. The screen will have to dry before you can do anything else with it. Drying usually takes 12 hours, more or less depending on the humidity in the building.
